Affirmation of Faith

This 501 (c) (3) religious organization acknowledges as its sole Head, Jesus Christ, the Son of God and Savior of all people. It acknowledges as brothers and sisters in Christ all who share in this confession. It looks to the Holy Word of God in the Scriptures, and to the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, to prosper its creative and redemptive work in the world. It claims as its own, the faith of the historic Church expressed in the ancient creeds and reclaimed in the basic insights of the Protestant Reformers. It affirms the responsibility of the Church in each generation to make this faith its own. In accordance with the teaching of our Lord and the practice prevailing among Evangelical Christians, it recognizes two Sacraments: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper or Holy Communion, and also that the Marriage covent between one man, and one woman is Sacramental. That water baptism and the Lord's Supper are ordinances to be observed by the Church as a remembrance of what God has done through the Lord Jesus Christ for us, and not to be regarded as a means of salvation. Upon a request by the parents or legal guardians of a minor child, the young child or infant may be dedicated into the loving care of our Heavenly Father through faith in Jesus Christ and adherence to the Christian religion, and thereby come to everlasting blessedness by following and living in the Grace and Will of God.

We believe the Holy Bible to be the divine plenary inspiration of God, without error in the original writings, and understand the sixty-six canonized books of the Old and New Testaments as inerrantly revealing the will of God concerning all things necessary for our salvation, and His Divine and final authority for the Christian faith and life.

We believe that there is One God eternally existing, holy in nature, attributes and purpose who has been revealed to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, three equal but distinct Persons, mysteriously united in the Godhead which the Church historically has described as the Holy Trinity.

We believe that Jesus Christ our Redeemer, the only begotten Son of God was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary and is both fully God and fully man. He lived a perfect sinless life and died on the cross, as a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father where He is our High Priest and Advocate before the throne of grace.

We believe that God offers salvation to a sinful humanity and a lost world through Jesus Christ. This salvation is received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin, is through repentance and faith in the precious Blood of Jesus Christ. By His bodily resurrection from the dead, the glorified Son raises us to newness of life. When we appropriate by faith God's atoning work in Jesus Christ, we are forgiven, justified, regenerated, and indwelled by His Holy Spirit, and adopted into the family of God. This is referred to in the Scriptures as being born again (John 3:3). By His grace He sanctifies His children, purifying their hearts by faith, renewing them in the image of God, and enabling them to love God and neighbor with whole heart, and in a second work of God’s grace in the regenerated believer known as entire sanctification (1Thessalonians 4:7 ). That regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation.

We believe that the fullness of God's great plan of salvation will come with the return of Jesus Christ. This cosmic event will signal the resurrection of the saved to eternal life in a physical place called Heaven, and the lost to eternal damnation in a physical place called Hell, the liberation of creation from Adam's curse, original sin, and God's final victory over every power and dominion, and the establishment of the New Heaven and the New Earth.

We believe in the Blessed Hope, which is the rapture of the Church of God, through Christ at His return. In the personal and imminent coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and that this hope has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of all believers. In the bodily resurrection of the dead; for the believer to everlasting joy with the Lord; for the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting punishment eternally separated from God.

We believe that the physical suffering of Christ before His crucifixion and on the Cross, provides healing for the human soul in answer to a prayer of faith, and also that "By His stripes we are healed" the broken in spirit may find "shalom" in every sense of it's meaning according to the Holy Bible as recorded in Isaiah 53:5.

We believe that a changed heart and renewed life is evidence of the Baptism with the Holy Ghost, according to 2 Corinthians 1:21-22, and is given to all who are regenerated. We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling, the Christian is enabled to live a Holy and separated life, consecrated to God’s service in this present temporal world.
